Refund Policy
Last updated 14 October 2026
Who you paid
DigMyGem subscriptions are sold by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller on your invoice and the name on your card statement, and it collects any sales tax or VAT. A refund is paid out by Paddle, to the card or account you paid with. We decide whether a refund is due; Paddle moves the money.
The DigMyGem service itself is provided by Jiawen Lin, trading as DigMyGem, Lorcan Drive, Dublin, Ireland, an individual, not a company, under the Terms of Service.
The 14-day window
You can ask for a full refund of any subscription payment within 14 days of that payment. You do not have to give a reason. This covers your first payment and every automatic renewal after it.
A refund cancels the subscription. Access ends when the refund is issued, not at the end of the period you paid for.
After 14 days
After 14 days we do not refund the period you are in. You can cancel at any time, and the plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. It then stops renewing and you are not charged again.
This applies to an annual plan too. An annual plan cancelled in month four is not refunded for the remaining eight months — it runs to the end of the year you paid for. If that is not what you want, ask us within the 14 days.
Partial periods and plan changes
We do not refund part of a period. If you move between plans mid-period, Paddle works out the difference for you. A move up to a larger plan is charged immediately for the rest of the period. A move down from Ultra to Pro, keeping the same billing period, takes effect at your next renewal. Every other change takes effect at once — including any move between a monthly and an annual period — and the difference is settled for the rest of the period.
A plan change is not a refund request. Where a change leaves credit on your subscription, Paddle decides whether that credit is carried against the next charge or paid back. If you want the money returned instead, ask us and we will treat it as a refund request under this policy.
Your statutory right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. For a digital service you start using at once, that right can end early — by signing in and using DigMyGem you ask us to start straight away and accept that.
We do not rely on that. The 14-day window above is given whether or not you have used the service, so in practice you keep the full 14 days either way. Nothing in this policy takes away a right you have under consumer law.
When we say no
We may refuse a refund if the account was suspended for breaking the Terms of Service, or where the same account keeps buying and refunding the same plan.
The Free plan costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. Credit bought from an AI provider with your own key is between you and that provider.
How to ask
Write to hello@digmygem.com from the email address on the account, and say which payment you mean (the date and the amount are enough). You can also ask Paddle directly: every Paddle invoice and receipt carries a link to Paddle's buyer support, and Paddle's help site for buyers is at paddle.net.
How long it takes
We answer within 5 working days. Once the refund is approved, Paddle returns the money to the original payment method. Your bank decides how long that last step takes — usually a few working days, sometimes up to ten.
Changes to this policy
We change the date at the top when this policy changes. The policy that applies to a payment is the one published when that payment was taken.
